Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2026-09-01

1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to RidersOn (the "app", "we", the "service"). By using this app or creating an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the app. These Terms should be read together with the Privacy Policy, which forms part of them.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the app. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have full legal capacity to agree to these Terms under the laws of your country.

3. Account Creation and Security

Registration is by phone number only, using a code sent to you by SMS. There is no email address and no password, and your phone number is your account identity. The service is currently available to numbers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Usernames must be at least 6 characters. Usernames and phone numbers are unique and cannot be held by two accounts at once. Important: there is no other recovery channel. Anyone who loses the ability to receive messages on their number loses their account, so if you change numbers, move your account to the new one from inside the app before the old one is gone. You must provide accurate, current information. You alone are responsible for all activity carried out through your account, and you must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use. You may not create more than one account for the same person without our permission, and you may not choose a username that impersonates another person or organisation.

4. Nature of the Account

The app is for individual motorcyclists. Your account is a "Rider" account, letting you manage your bikes, join groups and rides, and reach other riders. Using the app requires a registered account; there is no browse-without-signing-in mode.

5. Rules of Conduct

You may not use the app in any way that: breaches applicable laws and regulations; promotes reckless riding, unlawful racing, drifting, or any behaviour that endangers public safety; involves harassment, threats, hate speech, or sexual or violent content directed at other users; impersonates another person or organisation; publishes offensive, misleading, or unlawful content; sends unsolicited or repetitive commercial messages through chat or friend requests; harvests other users\' data by automated means; or attempts to bypass security restrictions or access data that is not yours.

6. Groups and Rides

The app lets you create and join rider groups, and create and take part in private or public rides. An ordinary group is capped at 200 members. A group owner is responsible for running their group, approving join requests, and the content posted in it. A ride creator is responsible for the accuracy of that ride\'s details and meeting points. RidersOn is a communication and coordination tool only. We do not organise or supervise these rides, and we do not verify the identity of participants. Taking part in any ride or meet-up is entirely at your own risk, and you must comply with traffic law and wear appropriate safety gear at all times. RidersOn accepts no responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss arising from your participation in any activity coordinated through the app.

7. Chat and Private Messages

Every group and ride includes a chat for its members, and you can also message anyone whose friend request you have accepted one to one. Chats are not end-to-end encrypted, and you are solely responsible for the messages you send. Only the owner of a group or the creator of a ride can pin a message, and pinned messages reach every member as a notification; this must not be used for nuisance messaging or unauthorised commercial promotion. You can mute any individual conversation, or turn off a whole category of notification in its settings. We may access and retain messages where necessary to investigate an abuse report or to comply with a legal obligation.

8. Friends and Contacts

You can add a friend three ways: by matching your device address book after expressly granting permission, by entering a username, or by entering a phone number. By using contact matching you confirm that you have a legitimate basis for holding the numbers of your contacts and using them in this way. When you accept a friend request, your phone number becomes visible to that person inside the app and one-to-one messaging opens between you. You can remove a friend at any time, which ends the friendship on both sides and stops messaging between you. You can decline or withdraw the contacts permission at any time.

9. Location Services and Check-In

Features such as location sharing, Nearby Riders, and check-in rely on your location. All are optional and require your explicit permission. When you enable sharing or check in, your location becomes visible to other users, and you alone decide when to turn that on and off. We do not guarantee the accuracy of location data, and these features must not be used to track or harass anyone.

10. User-Generated Content

You own the content you post (profile and group photos, bike details, rides, chat messages). By posting content through the app you grant us a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence to store and display that content within the app to the extent needed to provide the service. You confirm that you hold the rights necessary to post it and that it does not infringe any third party\'s rights. We reserve the right to remove content that breaches these Terms without prior notice.

11. Moderation

We may appoint moderators with authority to remove groups or content that breaches these Terms. The service may also include an official pinned group operated by the RidersOn team. Our decisions here are intended to protect users, and you can challenge any decision through the Help form.

12. Weather, Specifications, and Tips

Weather information, riding tips, and motorcycle specifications shown in the app are for general information only and come from third-party sources. Weather information is not a substitute for official forecasts and warnings, and motorcycle specifications are not a substitute for the manufacturer\'s data or your owner\'s manual. We accept no responsibility for decisions you make based on them.

13. Intellectual Property

All rights in the app - including the "RidersOn" name, logo, design, source code, and the content we create - are owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app without our prior written permission.

14. Third-Party Services

The app relies on third-party services for some of its functionality, including Firebase, Google Cloud, Google Maps, EmailJS, OpenStreetMap, and Open-Meteo. Your use of those services through the app is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. A detailed list appears in the Privacy Policy. Motorcycle model and specification data is licensed to us from an external provider and bundled inside the app; it may not be extracted, redistributed, or used outside the app.

15. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, temporarily or permanently, if you breach these Terms or use the app in a way that harms other users or the service, and we will endeavour to notify you unless circumstances prevent it. You may also request deletion of your account at any time through the Help form. Please see the Privacy Policy for what is deleted automatically and what content remains because it also belongs to others.

16. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted, nor do we warrant the accuracy of content posted by other users or the authenticity of their identities.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RidersOn accepts no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app - including, without limitation, physical or financial harm resulting from activities coordinated through the app or from your dealings with other users. Nothing in this clause limits any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, without prejudice to any mandatory rights available to you under the laws of your country of residence.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. You will be notified of material changes through the app, and the last-updated date appears at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept them.

20. Contact Us

For any question about these Terms, contact us through the Help form in the app or by email at support@riderson.com.
